And the key of the problem is set interpersonal Communication.

As have glance on the movie, the title refers to the myth, people in bible wanted to make a   tower to reach the heavens. Cause of proud an imaging of ability to reach to God; he gave the people different languages, making communication impossible.

As the directorAlejandro González Iñárritu  did in Babel and 21 gram, it reminds me the approach of An Iranian novelist -Mustafa Mastoor- in his stories. He tried to write independent short stories but step by step in the other short stories you would find more things about the characters in his stories. You would understand about the life style and the back ground of the characters but the most perfect particular things is with knowing more information about the characters or not, the

line of the story wouldn’t disturb.

By knowing more or not about the characters in the 4 story lines in Babel, after finishing the film, there will be no question about them in your mind.

There are some narrations about the other cultures. The problem in the world is the same. But when the people want to explain it in their languages nobody can understand what the problem is.

 The movie is one of the products of media system narrating the reality.

As a narration, we should talk about genre and content! Behind all these images there are

some stable ideas, myth and ideology.

Paradigmic approach

In view of paradigm approach, we could find out the paradoxes. In this movie you will still

face with Islam in company with poverty, terrorist action, and petrifaction. When the bus arrived at the village, the most attentive thing is the covering of the Muslim women! The life in morocco is death! All the things are monotonous. in verse in Mexico, you smell the fellow of the life there. All people are happy and full of energy.

There is one question here that the film should represent the negative images or positive image of oppressed group. As we find, represent of negative images are more than the others.

Moroccan guys as terrorist and with misery style life, with the system of polygamy  and lots of children, their life is depend on field and culturing and animal keeping.

When we compare the scenes, there is one ideology here. Power and politics supports just the American family.

The blood of them is more blessing than an innocent Moroccan teenager. If just there is one wound on American, the universal laws let you to kill who made the wound unexpectedly! 

To put it another way, between the scene, you feel the hegemony of American law. When the cope asked nanny to leave the united state, and research for the owner of rifle.

All the characters are deaf not just the Deaf girl in Japan. Although there are communicational technologies such as telephone, cell phone and mass media like TV but nobody can’t understand the “other’s feeling”.

Richard can’t understand Susan. The American tourist can’t understand Richard, cope can’t understand the nanny, and the guy can’t understand the deaf girl, and so on.

In some scenes you would see the media but the function of them is focus on hobbies. In Japanese home the girl just for wasting the time change the channels in the Moroccan’s shop they just watching dancing!

The director found an initial way to speak with the entire world. If you think more, you’ll find there is no subject that can coverage all the cultures and languages just sexual orientation .as we watch there use 5different languages and located in 3big continent.

The odd thing is there is no image of American culture and cities like the Japanese or Moroccan .film narrated about the life style in Japan and Mexico and morocco! It shows the highways, Metro, club, bars, school and etc... , In Japan. It shows the road and streets, town and villages, shops and wedding party and at all the life in Mexico. It shows keeping animal, hunting, praying and the people in morocco. But we just watch a house and two children! No more things about American citizen.

And most amazing point is all the other cultures have problem to satisfy their sexual needs unless American family!

The Moroccan boy with masturbation, Japanese girl with tempting the boy, Mexican nanny with relation with the widowed man want to satisfy themselves.

There is one family who doesn’t need to find the mate!
